18 Reasons to Drink at Home (Link)

The kind of things all Hot Tub owners should know.
Yes it sounds like the kind of things a worrywart would say, but there's good reasons for them.

They ARE for relaxation, therapy, and fun. They can make you feel better when sore and relax you when you need it... But...

1)            NO ALCOHOL when you are alone. It can catch up to you when you are in a hot tub in ways you are really not used to (blood pressure related). And then you pass out and die. Social drinks are fine when others are with you, and everyone is watching everyone else.

2)            Hyperthermia is a thing. If you start feeling queasy or getting a headache, you may be overheating. GET OUT for a while and cool off. There is a reason Hot Tubs have a maximum temperature.

3)            It's awkward to tell guests but it is a Hot Tub, not a bathtub. Be sure you and your guests know they should already have washed everywhere thoroughly before coming over and not have used lotions or oils afterwards, they will simply cause an oil slick in the Hot Tub.

4)            Like many other things that you don't want to have to tell others about, no one should be in your hot tub if they are already ill or are just getting over diarrhea. Nuff said.

5)            Safety first. Use hands rails when available and certainly don't try to jump in. Most hot tubs are not large enough, deep enough, or free of obstacles to do this without getting yourself or others injured.

6)            If you have medical issues, you should get cleared from your doctor that a hot tub is safe for you. No, I'm not being paranoid.

7)            No GLASS in or around the tub.

8)            No. No children.

9)            Now that is out of the way... Go have fun.

Hot Tub Open and Use

1)            Undo two buckles, lift cover holder, fold open cover, slide into holder, lower holder, center cover.

2)            Jet button - Off/Low/High - Sometimes it won't go "Off" if it's in auto heat mode.

3)            Individual Jets = Short easy turn (do not force), clockwise off, counterclockwise on. Turning off unused jets will make the others stronger.

4)            The large main whirlpool jet - turn clockwise only, it cycles through different combinations of jet redirection including full whirlpool only mode.

5)            Slider switches on rim - turn air bubbles on and off.

Hot Tub Closing up

1)            Have all jets open. Allowing the water to go through them when unused helps prevent possible bacteria growth in pipes.

2)            Turn whirlpool jet valve so water is directed to all jets.

3)            Turn off jets or leave at low if that's the only choice.

4)            Raise the cover holder, slide the cover into place, unfold the cover, make sure flaps are down all the way around, buckle the straps, lower the holder.

5)            Make sure the cabinet is closed and everything back where it started.
